Company history

In 1946, with only one truck and one employee, Georg Böhm ventured into independence.
The young entrepreneur’s main services were all kinds of transports as well as sand and gravel mining. Today, with Helmut and Günter Böhm as managing directors, the company has 170 employees, a state-of-the-art fleet of 110 trucks and is involved in many other business ventures.

1946

Georg Böhm founded the company

1955

Sand and gravel mining in Neusiedl am See, which was tough manual labor with hoists for lifting and shovels.
Opening of a truck stop in Neusiedl am See

1960

Developing an effective fleet with construction equipment and trucks.

1967

Construction of a gravel plant in Parndorf and Potzneusiedl with a modern sifting plant and washing benches

1977

Expanding and updating the international transport business in Europe.

1988

Landfills and gravel mining in Schwadorf, Neusiedl, and Potzneusiedl

1993

New company premises with repair shops, office building, and warehouses connected to the railway.

1994

Constructing a microbiological treatment plant

1998

Takeover of the recycling facility in Himberg, which is one of Europe’s largest.
Production of clay support material for cement production, crushed brick for clay tennis courts, roof substrates (approx. 200,000 tons annually)

2000

Specializing in cleanup of bodies of water with various special equipment (we own the first Watermaster swimming dredger in Austria)

2004 

The BTL, Böhm Transport Logistik was founded. Located in Ternitz, it is the Europe-wide partner for waste logistics and transport of bulk materials.

2005

Expanding the fleet by a Walking Floor bridge (90 m³)

2006

International disposal of commercial and residential waste in thermal waste treatment plants

2007

Expansion of the microbiological treatment plant
Purchase of an excavator with so-called long-reach-equipment having a range of 18 m

2008

Modernization of fleet and purchase of a new mobile crusher system
