Himberg facility

Back to the material cycle
Years ago, old building materials were deposited almost exclusively in landfills. Very few people thought about recycling. Today we recognize the value of raw materials.  More and more substances are brought back into the material cycle. For years, BÖHM TRANSPORT has been dedicated to raw material recycling. The company implemented the certification for quality in the area of building material recycling in 1993.

New products are created from construction rubbish.
Our modern recycling facility in Himberg offers all possibilities for resource recovery. Concrete and asphalt are thus no longer landfill products. When their useful time is up, they are processed into granules at our recycling facility. These granules in turn are used in road construction to stabilize the surface or as drainage material. Crushed clay tiles are produced from demolition materials, which can be used for such applications as clay tennis courts, roof substrates, or fill material.

The following series of pictures shows step-by-step the recycling process:

New material is created from old asphalt.

The finished raw materials are again used in various processes and for example, they serve as silicate medium in industrial applications, or as new roof tiles, new road surfaces, and are thus again part of our life.
